5 Gunghua Xili, Jianguomenwai Area (near Silk Street)

Bleu Marine French Restaurant was a terrific surprise. There is a unique menu every day based on whatever ingredients the chefs pick up or the fish that is available. We ate the french onion soup and pumpkin soup and then tucked into some wonderful fish. It’s quite small inside and was overrun with Danish lads when we were there so we ate outside in the front courtyard where some very suspicious DVD sales deals were being done. The waiters were very welcoming and attentive, bringing us a little lamp when the candles proved to be challenged by the outdoors. More than anything, it was the outstanding food that made this restaurant so recommendable!
