In a quiet little town in the Connemara area of west Ireland, Leenane hotel is brilliantly located and pretty good value for money! Lovely views out the windows over Killary harbour (apparently Ireland’s only fjiord?!) and onto the Connemara hills.

The rooms are not too special but it is completely comfortable and has a great lounge area with a fire to relax in. With the fun pub, Gaynors, up the road and the excellent Blackberry Cafe a five minute walk away, its a great stop off point on a drive up the west coast.
