Sensory assault. I think that’s what Cyberdog is shooting for in its range of clothes, bags, body armour…um…pseudo-cybernetic headpieces… Its Camden Market store is the epitomy of this assult! You walk through the cavernous entrance into the ‘dance floor’ type area with a bar (non-alcoholic I think. I’ve never felt the urge to buy anything from it), a DJ booth, podium dancers and big plastic cybernetic people stuck to the wall like something out of Star Trek’s Borg!

All of the staff are dressed the part with masses of butt-length, hot pink, braided hair, mutiple piercings and all wearing something from the Cyberdog range. The clothes are mainly aimed at club-kids with lots of fluro, foam, and blinking lights attached. There are a couple of signature items including t-shirts with sound activated light panels on the front and long black ‘jedi’ coats!

Along with the fluro, there is a distinct S&M overtone to some of the gear. Actually, it’s probably more overt than that with womens tops called ‘dominatrix’!

There are about 5 stores in the world, most in England and of course, one in Ibiza! A club kid needs somewhere reliable to go in the party capital of Ibiza when they desperately need something to match their glow sticks?!
