Nairobi | The Spinners Web

Fabulous textiles over two floors in the environmentally conscientious business. Everything is made from indigenous and easily renewable materials…like banana leaves! This store has prdocus that range from very cheap to very expensive. Things like baskets and small homewares are really well priced however many of the glorious wall hangings are very expensive. This reflects the amount of work that goes into them and I have to say, I think they are completely worth it.

The most fun was the nativity sets made out of banana leaves and fibres. Absolutley lovely little sheep and of course, the baby jesus and his family! However, these should be treated by customs on re-entry to most countries and in order to do so, you’ll need to delcare them.

The Spinners Web is a fixed price store located at Viking house, Westlands (phone +254 20 4440882)
